Boc the seamster

I can't seem to locate Boc... I have both the sewing needles. Does giving Boc the golden needle give me any further upgrades to my armor?

the golden needle/sewing kit allows for tailoring the demi god armor.
have you found boc in limgrave?
first you find him yelling as a small tree/bush and need to hit him to dispel the curse.
After that you can find him in the demihuman cave near the very start, its on the beach. There you will find boc again and also the first sewing kit/needle.
After giving him the needle here his quest continues and you will find him at graces on the way to the capital.
After buying your first set of demi god armor you can give him the gold needle

ps: no upgrade, but only a change to the visuals, mostly no capes. The armor is actually downgraded, lowering the weight and defenses a little bit.
