I am at RL1 and I can't beat Malenia. Waterfowl Dance is truly the most unfair attack in any Souls game.

Being at a higher level means I can make more errors and do more damage like others, but for a RL1 run I do not have that luxury. All her moves from her first and second phases are easily dodgeble except that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waterfowl dance. And she does it more than once.

Closest I got her down to so far is almost halfway down her health in second phase but she spammed that thing 6 times throughout the fight. 6. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Times. You need to remove camera lock to even have a chance of surviving it or hope your far away. I am convinced it is broken and unfair. If it had a little more delay perhaps it would be fair, but she can use it anytime without warning very wucikly.

There is no build up to warn you its coming like Rykards and Malikeths super attacks, nor is there a delay to give you a chance to even prepare the dodges. It just hits you and your done. I have beaten Malenia 12 times now on various characters, but this RL1 run has shown me how truly unfair it is when almost no error is allowed. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ add a bigger delay or waring to it man.

To answer your question . Yes OP need to git gud if he wanna do RL1 fight . All of Malenia’s attacks are rollable and ash of wars even make the fight easier .

False , you can easily roll Malenia’s whole waterfowl at point blank without removing camera lock ( actually it’s even more easier than removing camera lock method ) .

You can get opinions all you want . Fact is all of Malenia’s attacks are rollable . If someone having problem with this in RL1 , he need to git gud .

Hack … OP didn’t get too many git gud comments if he complained about Malenia’s stagger mechanics . Whenever she got a hit , she have a random rng chance to stagger or instant gain hyper armor and hit you back . That’s what you called poorly designed . Still it can be managed easily . Ppl complaining about Waterfowl meanwhile the game give you the best defensive ash of wars like Bloodhound step , Vow of Indomitable and Barricade Shield huh ?

Btw since you are talking my skills in ER .. I have 40 videos of fighting bosses without getting a hit .
