To captain Yon : I suppose I could just back my char save and then create a new game save with new chars from scratch. That sounds extremely annoying but it's worth a try I suppose. I'm looking for any new suggestions, really.
how you deleted the savefile ?
via deactivate cloud saves and delete in %appdata% the eldenring folder or by delete all chars ?
should be the case.
than i would take a closer look to the crash log you get

in rare cases a GPU driver problem can cause this, a fresh istal with DDU deinstallion should be tested too.
Honestly, one thing I haven't done is to take my PC apart and clean it. Maybe my pc just started bugging at the very moment that hacker hit me. Or could it be possible that somehow, something about my internet is broken now? Something in my modem or the ethernet part of my motherboard?
it could be possible that a hardware failure exists but this would be a 1 in a million coincidence.
