I wanna hear your wild build ideas!
My favorite part of Elden Ring is theory crafting interesting builds and making something truly unique. Something thats my own.

Dont feel discouraged from posting your stuff but im naturally going to be a little less interested in "youtuber builds" or builds that kind of amount to just spamming a single overtuned weapon art. If you know you know.

Its totally fine if you personally enjoy those kinds of builds but I highly value interesting gameplay interactions as well as good aesthetics. (I spit in the face of those who wear the white mask)

Ill start off with my dedicated intelligence riposte build!

The main idea is to be a mage that uses stealth to get backstabs while exploring and spells to break posture during boss encounters.

For stealth I would wear black knife armor to silence my footsteps and stack it with the unseen form spell to make stealth pretty easy.

For combat I would use heavy hitting spells such as gavel of haima, carian peircer and greatsword, and prepatch glintstone phalinx ash of war (replaced with the greatblade phalinx spell).

For talismans I hard commit to the concept of a riposte build by using both red and blue dagger talismans to heal my hp and fp, dagger talimsna for raw damage, and the dlc one that boosts your AR.

Then once I hit the dlc I added the carian sorcery sword and a sheild with the deflecting tear to pivot into a magic sword and board guy. It plays incredibly well despite the raw damage being a little low. Easily my favorite build ever.

Your turn guys. Wanna see some real cool stuff.

Try a build where you use all the gravity-related stuff.

So, Radahn's bow, spells like Gravitational Missile or Meteorites of Astel, the consumables like gravity stone fan.
Ashes like Waves of Darkness, Spinning Gravity Thrust.
I like the Ruins Greatsword, and Starscourge swords.

I also have this with the full Banished knight set so it's quite dfemanding on stats and not very well optimized... but it's great fun because it has great versatility. Only real trouble is swapping out weapons all the time.

I love rogue(D&D type) gameplay, so an assassin build. Obviously, the Black Knife chest is great, and I take the helm, too, but the Black Knight greaves and sabatons, too. Black Knife for a ranged option and the Misericorde, with Assassin's Gambit, for melee. With a 6 Talisman tradable setup. Shard of Alexander, both Assassin's Dagger talismans, holy scorpion, and the passive regen hp and fp talismans. Whichever throwing knive consumables you want, and a spirit summon, should you find you need it. Best ones are usually poise hitters. 18 faith, 12 dex, 19 mind(I think. 100 fp) and 13 Vigor can pretty decently get me through Golden Godfrey in Lindell, if I play well enough. Starting class is the level 1 class, can't remember the name.

def something ive considering using sometime. Lends itself to be both fashionable and effective while not being too difficult to build around. Put a little bit of arcane in so you can use the new Metoric greatsword in the dlc cause that thing is sexy.
Dress up as a Tree Sentinel for a really easy time...

The Tree Spear can self buff to deal significant extra holy damage and prevent skeletons reviving themselves. It deals very heavy damage to any skeleton type enemy but still struggles against anyone made from stone.

Along side that is the Erdree shield: it's a decent greatshield.

Then the Tree Sentinel armour set is really good. Think Scaled Armour but more: heavier but excellent all around protection, hard to improve upon without significant extra weight.

Now round that out with some healing spells.

Talismans can include Greatshield, Spear, Curved Sword, Blue Dew, Turtle, Arsenal, Pearly Shield Old Lord (good for regeneration spells).
