I hate scadutree blessings
These are horrible my first play-through of the DLC i had a total level of 11 which meant i was underleveled for every boss after messmer and messmer. its just so annoying because i didn't want to search the whole map for these and they are super powerful but tedious to get.

People say they "Encourage Exploration" which is true but, i like to just be able to run around the "size of limgrave???" map exploring myself and not looking at every shiny item hoping its a scadutree fragment, or looking them up and going from point A to point B. that doesn't encourage exploration i much prefer the classic leveling system that lets me just run around the huge map taking in its beauty and finding cool items killing new enemies and maybe even finding a new boss, not searching for one item to increase my survivability tenfold. although it is a good way from making broken builds steamroll through the DLC so i guess from didn't have a choice really.

Sacdutree Level 12 is not that bad, as after 12 the bonus is like 0,2 percent of atk and def each level

Aside for Bayle and Radahn, the rest of the bosses in this game actually feel balanced for level 10 or so, including Messmer. I did a Scadutree blessings free run, and i was surprised at how quickly all the bosses folded, except for those two.

So frankly i doubt you should have an issue until the very end, at which point you can just go out collecting whatever you missed following a guide.

bro why are you even playing this type of game if you don't like exploring every nook and cranny for hidden secret loot? That's one of the best parts of these games. I suggest you go back to COD.

Your comment is equivalent to "I like shooting guns but I refuse to ever reload"..... Well sorry to tell you but once you empty the magazine you have no choice but to reload or you gotta stop shooting the gun.

that's not true. Most of these bosses can kill you in 2 hits at scadutree level 20. Several of them have moves that can kill you in 1 hit at full health (60 vigor) at scadutree level 20.

The enemies and bosses in this DLC are insanely overpowered. You are gonna have to get good to defeat them. Or just use a shield, something I haven't done in this game for a very long time.

Nah, he's about right. None of the bosses one or 2 hit me in my first DLC playthrough at vigor 60, not even Promised Consort (I had Blessing level 12 when I first tried him, and even then he had to hit me more than once or twice to kill me. I kept going to him just to check out how much the blessing level did with each new level, and I attempted him for real and killed him at blessing level 16). I did Messmer at blessing level 8 before they got buffed, and no one shots there either. Now, with the 50 vigor character for my second playthrough, I skimped out a bit on the blessings, but no one shots there yet either.

And after the buff the blessings received, you only need like blessing level 12 or so for Promised Consort, which is also the softcap from what I've read. Level 11 like OP has should be fine for by far most of the DLC content.

I see you didn't mention Golden Seeds or Sacred Tears, which is identical to picking up Scadutree Fragments around the map. Or do you play without flasks?

I like exploring but i got to the endgame and realized i was underleveled on scadutree blessings meaning i had to go back and find them which was tedious and annoying.

If you only explored enough to get to level 11 or 12 scudutree level then you probably also missed a lot of items and bosses.
opus132 Aug 31, 2024 @ 11:12am
I played blind and ended up with 49 fragments. Guess i'm more attentive than most. The one i missed is in the scorched town in the very beginning, on some vase guy that disappears fairly quickly.
