So, any chance of getting this in FLAC instead of the sort of, in my humble opinion, crappy 320kbit MP3? I paid for the deluxe content so I kind of want that deluxe feeling.

No chance.

Though if you didn't know they were 320kb/s MP3s, would this even be an issue?

You can try to go to Zamzar, and see if you can convert the file to wav or flac. Not sure if it will improve the quality or not, but I'm fairly sure you can do it.

Other limitation is unless you pay for a subscription, you can only convert two files a day for free, so you'll have t pay a little or take a long time to do it.

unless somebody made some errors with the conversion (levels, wrong parameters)
the human ear cant really tell the difference between flac and 320 kbit mp3

this has been proven with blind tests.

Thats crazy. Did you know there is also no way for a human to see beyond 30 fps?

My question is...where are the mp3s? I didn't realize that it's not required to run the deluxe content through Steam like the game itself.

Maybe there is a chance. Soundtrack will probably get another full release. Maybe even in hi-res quality, like original one got.
Right now your best bet is to get gamerip version. Some guy on reddit ripped soundtrack from the game. YOu can download different versions of it, edited, unedited etc.

It isn't in the "deluxe edition", which already didn't have the DLC in the first place. The DLC also has an overpriced "premium" edition, which costs as much as new full AAA game, and that's what has the sound track. Also still no season pass for future DLCs, of course.

Right. I purchased that premium edition of the DLC, but my understanding was that it can only be enjoyed by running the game and selecting the 3rd option rather than having access to actual mp3s.
