Why do you hate Ranni? I'll start

i hate Ranni because she is selfish, entitled, manipulative, and does not appear to care about the cost of her actions upon others

she efs up the whole world, and kills her family members to avoid being controlled by the outer gods (this is maybe ok, so far, i do like the anti-gods theme) but her plan does not include any actual second phase beyond the effing up part, and she has to take a chance on the player who could be anyone. we could be going for the Dung Eater or Frenzied Flame ending when she takes a chance on us saving her from her own actions

also, take better care of your dog. come on, be better than that

I honestly hate Ranni bc she mary´sues herself out of being drugged by daddy Seluvis (and the humble myself) for no fkin reason. She is also manipulative AND rude. Dogged fellow? Things my charater has done with that doll after these words... At least Shabriri is polite and Dung eater is honest to a fault. And Goldmask, Goldmask is chad. How can you simp for Ranni in a world where Goldmask exists? No gods, I prefer men.

I don't care about Ronnie because she's been dead for a couple hundred years, sits in a finger farm with a disappearing dragon, and sends me running around to places that can't decide whether they want me to use Torrent or not.

But you can get 4 larval years in your first ten minutes in Nokron so there's that.

1: GRRM does not write good worlds, GRRM most definitely does not write good characters.
2: Accent. I don't mind the general accent of the other characters in the game. Just hers. It's overdone.

Nahhhhhh, That's Blackguard Boggart easily. Loyal, great cook, strong as hell and actually really good looking under that mask lol.

Ranni is no saint, but when drawing comparisons to her direct counterpart, miquella, and even down to why she needed her siblings killed she has reasons. Godwyn was the golden child (literally) and he would have continued his mothers reign (which was not great mind you) and could have done it as he was the strongest of the demigods, and Radahn was holding back the stars which she needed to be released to release the control the two fingers had over her. She would have reasoned with him if she could, but he was mad from the rot. The difference between her and miquella is that we always have the option to stop helping ranni. Miquella never gave his followers that choice. And in the same vein, blaidd could never stop being obedient to the two fingers, the greater will never gave him that choice. Compare it as well to the other unmending ending, frenzied flame. You can't choose to back out. Even at the very end, standing in front of the Elden Ring, Ranni gives you the choice to summon her. She knows that only someone as powerful as you, the tarnished, could help her usher in the age of stars, and because she relies on you, she never forces you to do anything. She even catches herself falling in love with you in the ainsel river, but doesn't want to confess until she knows YOU'RE committed. Ranni's ending is all about choice and free will, no gods, no manipulation. It's my favorite and I will defend it haha.
