My Elden Ring Keeps Crashing After I Load In
When I launch the game using steam it lets move around for a sec than my screen turn black and it crashes. When I use a mod which I was using Modengine2 it worked perfectly fine. I want to start using steam so I can have a non mode play through but do not know how to fix this issue. I tried re-downloading my game and verifying the files.

a lot of possible causes.

the basic trouble shooting:

1. update bios

2. deinstall tools like process lasso ot system/ process explorer.

3. run a fully system check/repair

open command prompt as administrator

run this command

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

After this is finished

Sfc /scannow

Repair the c++ redistributables

https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

4. do a clean reinstall of eac

delete the 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' folder in C:\Program Files (x86)

then Use Registry Editor to delete all keys and values that had 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' to do this search up "REGEDIT" in search.
right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Find and look up the term EasyAntiCheat_EOS and delete the whole folder with this name on the left side, search again because there are more of this folder.

then go into elden ring's game files in the game installation folder

delete the easyanticheat folder, verify gamefiles to restore the folder fresh

reboot windows

then go into elden ring's game files in the installation folder and navigate to easyanticheat folder and click on the install_easyanticheat_eos_setup

a prompt will pop up and hit enter
