Why did Miquella choose Radahn and not Malenia?

Considering Malenia is the blade of MIquella, why did Miquella choose Radahn to be consort? When Malenia and Radahn fought, it basically ended as a draw too.

Failed at being an empyrean. Failed to do her job to beat Radahn. Failed to even bloom right and turning herself into a vegetable. Failed to kill Godrick when she had the chance. Failed to actualize herself rather than simping for Miquella, and topped it off with failing to beat the tarnished. I don't blame Miquella for not picking her.

Radahn wasn't inherently and incurably rotting away (well, before Malenia's assassination attempt). Miquella would have had to fight against the rot inherent in Malenia's being, while Radahn was a-ok after his death. Well, meatpuppet-a-ok.
