I spawn directly underneath him. he 1 shots me before i can summon mimic. no summons nearby, and so frustrated. any advice appreciated

For some reason, i have his sight of grace without ever beating him. I popped over to run through the area looking for missed chests / items, decided to use that sight of grace and now know i never defeated him before. I can obviously use other sights of grace, but I want to beat him. the frustration is real tonight.

use great runes and talismans to increase your hp and resistances

also if he oneshots you ... you should invest some points in vigor i guess

hp is your greatest weapon in this game ... especialy early in the game and also midgame your best dmg boost is via weapon upgrades and not weapon scaling ... so just get the recuired stats for your weapon and min/max later on (if you want to pvp)

so maybe that helps ... gl hunting

You might want to use bhs and use holy damage negation.

No ♥♥♥♥, this happened to me on Xbox a while back lol. I have no clue what triggers it.

If you're getting one shot though, consider leveling your vigor and picking up the Boltdrake +2 (or +3 with DLC) talisman.

I'm rockin 40 vigor, but I do feel a bit too squishy still. I haven't found the boltdrake yet, so I'll snag that right quick too. Thanks for the advice!

Sprint outside the aggro range ( look for messages ), quit save. When you reload, you can give yourself real buffs.

You will have to do this each attempt.

This is bug or possibly hack by invader.

You are supposed to reach him from grace before Maliketh fight,
going back and dropping down the floating rocks and interacting with lie down spot.

Signs can't be placed inside arena, but near lie down spot
people sometimes leave their signs, me included.

He does a lot of fire and lightning damage, prepare accordingly.
Black Flame Tornado Ash of War melts his health.

If everything else fails post multiplayer password and someone will help you,
but you will need to look for signs near lie down spot.
