share your build plans
i have always did str int in souls games so i will do the same here, but i have always wanted to try out a great lance but those have been too heavy, but with str effecting carry weight it will be possible.

First build: Quality. I wanna try everything.

Second build: it will depend on what's available. It looks like they are adding a lot stealth options, so I may go that route. Like a poisoner/sleep build.

Regardless, I'll master the game with melee before trying magic, as that tends to trivialize these games.

Quality to try everything. Might actually be worse here since ashes of war tie into infusions but we will see.

I dunno man some of those Faith spells look pretty cool, kind of want to go a full magic build this time as I usually play mostly melee focused strength builds, but Souls games can be a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to magic, sometimes it is OP as hell and then to compensate they nerf the hell out of it in the next game.

That said you generally can't go wrong with a melee strength build at least for first build to test the waters, though will probably go a little more invested into faith because some of those spells look pretty damn cool.

First build will probably be quality or strength, then I'll continually make new PvP builds every week or so for years, just like in Ds3.

I wanna try Phantom thief build. Dagger or Katana with Bow and Magic.
After that... Dragon knight? maybe?

Full focus on Vigor with secondary emphasis on Endurance. I may put enough points into Intellect/Faith to utilize utility/buff spells. Raw weapon (or w/e is same effect, which will most likely be in the game per usual) and might keep it entire or most of the playthrough. All this is assuming scaling is similar in nature to DS3's in which point Str/Dex/Quality builds will be vastly inferior in a NG run, especially at least until late game (and arguably even then), as getting a 300-500% boost on HP and a 50-100% boost on stamina far outweights a meager 20-35% AR boost with barely any hp/stamina. I might pay extra attention to faith depending on the type of spells, though, as a 3rd priority.

Str + Int isn't the right way to say it.

We call it "muscle-mage." Just saying.

It may just be for the network test but end and stam had much lower thresholds for falling off. I think end was bad after like 16, not even giving 1 entire stam point per level and hp went down at 20 but I don't think it was as drastic. It's possible they pick back up more later but at the least in the network test, scaling was changed from the souls games.

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, might just be NT related but will be interesting to see if they better tweaked these.

Sir, that is a staff to be used as a cataly- sir... please stop using your staff as a mallet.
*Uses all FP for physical buff spells*
*snap* Ughh...

Hang on a sec, just finishing another set of squats. Gotta have strong legs for a strong stance. Better support for Soul Arrow.

Whichever build allows me to be come a spell flinging maniac and a human solar flare firecracker like I am currently in DS3 Convergence. All light show all the time.
48 Vitality
66 Endurance
12 Attunement
16 ****** Strength
10 Dexterity but won't tell anyone I leveled it up.

The legend never dies.
