Another strategy found on the net:
They're really tall, so they can't hit you if you're hugging them because the arms can't reach that close. Just roll in with a shield, strafe around and backstab twice.
Anyways amazing guide, even after a fourth visit to the Shadowlands they are the most painful normal monster to deal with (after the wicker man, but they count as mini bosses) for me.
I rarely say this but honestly Curseblades as straight up a poorly thought out enemy that just excels at everything while somehow also managing to make lock on both necessary and vomit inducing at the same time.
Like most enemies too, dont roll away from them, try to roll diagonally to close the distance
But if I don't have it equipped and one of these mofos
surprise me they can be painful to deal with.
Dual Lightning Grossmessers with Thunderbolt are good alternative
for me and I almost always have them equipped.
I didn't test it much but I think Piercing Fang
and Impaling Thrust should be effective against them.
