The final boss of the dlc is less painful than the dragons

What kind of build are you using now, and what's your strategy? There may be some simple changes you can make to drastically affect your damage output or your efficacy. Dragons (Ancient Dragon aside) shouldn't be that tedious.

How about the one that spawns undead underneath it halfway through...just what I needed while completely missing a foot shot. A ranged undead dude shooting ♥♥♥♥ at me

Senessax is definitely the most obnoxious boss in the game, no doubt about that.

I feel NO SHAME spamming rain of arrows on her ass.

Guts sword, just big ol R2s, i tried using torrent but he gets 1 shot too often

yeh i dunno what peoples issue with them is. they are basically the same from the very first one you can fight and kill at level 1 in limgrave to the ones around the map in the DLC.

i get that people probably don't like killing the 30th dragon but they aren't hard lol

The normal dragons arent the issue, its the Ancient Variant, the ones that use lightning, its almost impossible to attack their heads as a melee cause they practically never lower it let alone keep it still, so you largely do no significant dmg, dragging the fight.

And their attacks are always followed by lightning AoE, and like i mentioned Senessax is the absolute worst of them since shes in a freaking puddle of water making her do both more dmg and increase her aoe to be basically the size of the area.

These dragons are just annoying as hell.

I was able to cheese him(?) pretty effectively with a random summon and spamming Siluria's Woe.

Their behaviour can be so f-ed up in the DLC. I spent minutes running after the jagged peak dragon, because he always flew away as soon as i got in melee range

Just jump attack and charge attack the feet. Then critical and stab them in the face

they are mostly hit or miss depending on your build, doing them with a nice hammer maybe on horseback and the fight is trivial
doing them with knives is just a pain

also not enough variety for sure, especially in the dlc

Also, note the slow folks trying to be like "If you figure out how to fight them, which you have and I will ignore, then they're not bad because I'm your uncle giving advice and incapable of seeing a criticism of an enemy that has never been fun or interesting to fight even if you know how to fight them."

You know what I do against ancient dragons? I just shoot them in the face with any ranged option... it's incredibly safe for an incredibly awful and badly designed enemy.
