what type of English this game uses?
I'm not native English speaker but I can understand the language, I was curious what type of English this game uses, so many unfamiliar words are used?
like " Unless of course...thou shouldst take the crown"
who says thou!
this game's story is complicated enough and now this will add to it, can't they use normal English ..

They've always used old English since Demon's Souls, I think MORE games should use it

yes it would be so much more magical if the npcs said stuff like " hey whats up bro, wanna come to my street and act up you noob, go die in a ditch while i roll on the floor laughing out loud" (*..npc puts on sunglasses).
Just look at “boiy” in GOW i didn’t even play game but in all videos i watched that kid feels like written by some millennial who hated his annoying little sibling, nothing like i would imagine kid would act sound in ancient north times

It is normal english and if you understand everyday english you dont have to put much time to learn this too.

It's not like english is the only language you can play it in. Maybe your native language is available.

British English. Thou means "you" and shouldst is "should". It's an archaic way of speaking.

The best kind of English.

It's mostly modern English peppered here and there with some archaic expressions by some characters to make them sound more important or aristocratic.
