If the prices for new GPU's skyrocket, so do the prices for used GPU's.

I just looked up a 980 TI on eBay. Going for 300 USD. Old card but it competes with a GTX 1070. There you go.
Lol. The 980ti is ancient. And being on par with a 1070 is not a good thing. 300USD for such an old card is too much. I bought my 1660 ti (similar to a 1070) for 250€ ~2 years ago.

Higher requirements than RDR2, Cyberpunk and Dying Light 2. Is this a joke? This is not a next-gen title.

Nowadays you need a 3060ti minimum for games, too bad that's impossible because of the GPU market situation right now.

Not true. Unless you mean in like 4k 144 fps or some ♥♥♥♥. Up until this year I was using an i7-860 for ♥♥♥♥'s sake.

I think Elden Rings minimum system requirements are the sweet spot
MINIMUM:
OS: Win10, Win11
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580, 4 GB
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 60 GB available space

First of all we are already headed into the next gen and rumors of 4000 series are about to pop up soon so I can understand if some people cant afford a 2000 or 3000 series card but you gotta understand we are headed into the next gen of consoles and you can't expect for games to stick to 1000 series card (except maybe the 1080) we are living in a day an age when ray tracing is becoming popular and so is Dx 12 so you can't really expect devs to hold themselves back when they could be doing much more. I mean for goodness sake the ps5 gpu is around a rtx 2070 I remember when PC users used to make fun of Console users and now consoles over took most used gpus on steam (I think its the gtx 1060)? Accept the fact that we are headed into the next gen of games and a 1070 or a 2060 is now going to be the minimum for big AAA games soon. At least be happy you meet the minimum requirements, some people don't even have a 1050 :)

Yes, true if you want high settings + 60fps in 1080p.

The minimum requirement is 1060. So 1070 is just fine. There's nothing wrong with paying 300 for that card. Still well below original MSRP.

You can't have this both ways dude. Your card already exceeds the minimum requirements then. You've got nothing to worry about. You can play the game. If you don't wanna pay to upgrade, then you don't.

PC dominates both the high end and the low end.

So, turn it down to medium settings and you'll be more than fine with something else.

yeah but rtx is useless, you're wasting potential power for a prettier lightning system

It's not a sweet spot if running it at low settings makes the game look like Animal Crossing
