low FPS in this game are mostly related to:
slow RAM (the speed it needs for mostly stabel 60 FPS is 3000MHz, anything below this will have FPS drops or overall below 60 FPS)
dual channel not running (this cut your bandwidth in half, it is like running RAM with half the speed)
check with a tool like CPU-z for dual channel and what frequency you are running.
i know what specs you need because i analyse this game since release of the game, the hive mind in this forum pinned down how the performance get effected and which specs are really important.
this game has a bandwidth hungy engine and you need at least 3000 MHz dual channel to get nearly everywhere stable 60 FPS. there are additional things like the raytracing that tanks additional bandwidth where you need at least 5600 MHz or more to come close to 60 FPS.
the CPU is also relevant but the CPU the OP has should be able to provide stable processing so the most likely two things that could cause his low FPS is low RAM speeds/missing dual channel and raytracing.
removing processes in background have nearly no effect (as long you not running a software in background that is also a bandwidth tank).
they do not need to tell you everything the minimum specs needed to run this game does not mean you can run it with this at 60 FPS.
Just experience of what most systems with stutters have in common over the last 2 years.
Dark Breed has analyzed litteraly 1000s of problems with Elden Ring since its release.
And i also found many systems with stutter issues have their ram speed bound to the intel CPUs since they dont have a Z-Mainboard.
Most people come here at some point and find out in one way or another which specs have an influence.
Since it is very dependent on the hardware used (Intel e core CPUs can also lead to the same problem when e cores are activated) I would say it is almost impossible to create a complete guide.
So I will go through the main causes step by step. It is not helpful to list everything that has an influence.
There are also some other causes if the hardware should perform well, but these can only be found through precise system analysis. There have been cases in which board drivers constantly restarted, but there is no point in looking for them if you do not know enough about the system and the basic causes have not already been ruled out.
A lot of what I do with people who have performance problems despite having sufficiently powerful hardware is time-consuming and requires a lot of checks and tests.
The number of those whose performance never goes above a certain FPS value and the problem is not due to the RAM setup is vanishingly small.
Might be obvious, but do you have RT activated?
Also I guess you mean 1440p?
You don't need to download anything actually, task manager will do as well.
Open it > performance > RAM
it should show the clock speed and how many slots are used
Ray Tracing is an option in the graphics menu, but when you say you put it all to low I guess you have turned it off as well.
sadly the taskmanager gives no info about dual channel usage
