Its a rare thing to be summoned at the beginning of a area. But dang it if its not great when it does work.
I think a lot of that has to do with how summons in general work. You can use summoning pools, but you're almost better off just going to where you want to invade/coop and go old school with your sign down in a heavy traffic area.
