Like, normally, when you co-op in the game, it allows invaders.
When you don't allow that, it's cheating.
It's not modding.
Modding is making yourself look like Shrek, but not altering any attributes.
Cheating is removing parts of the game you don't like.
Sorry, but you are cheating if you are using a mod to get rid of something you don't like.
I'm not disputing it could be considered "cheating." I'm disputing that it is a form a "cheating" that steam will enforce or punish. Seamless isn't within the scope of TOS for either firm.
your last line about apples is very funny to try to call a change in gameplay style (removal of fogwalls for a seamless experience) equal to cheating (something done to acquire an advantage)
I mean... Wrong right out the gate, now. There's a toggle for invading in the mod, surprisingly enough. I wouldn't recommend it, as with no Easy Anti-Cheat, there's even less barrier to booting up Cheat Engine, and skadooshing any invaders back to the shadowrealm they came from.
Maybe you should do the barest minimum research into the mod before throwing out flat incorrect statements.
Did you mean to quote me? I'm using the terminology of the person i quoted, and i quoted them in relation to the Steam TOS they posted, their interpretation of that, and discussion of the mod on Steam forums.
My point was that even if it is "cheating," steam and Bamco aren't going to enforce it based on either of their TOS as outlined. Bamco only will if you venture into their playground (i.e. "Online" from the in-game menu on their infrastructure). The "apples to anvils" is comparing the level of "cheat" Darth is alluding to in regard to what is outlined in TOS.
Anyway, i'm off to dive back into acclaimed "cheat" Elden Ring Reforged...
if everyone connected is using the same mod, then its not cheating since its a level playing field.
Like a moth to the flame.
You know why you use the mod, and it ain't for "no fog walls" lmao.
Cheating would surely mean providing an unfair advantage... In this case, you have a completely separate character to the main game. Use your head, you're so narrow minded.
I use it to play SEAMLESSLY with my friends. Like almost all Seamless users. As I said previously, you're extremely narrow minded, just makes me think you are one of those guys sitting in Limgrave killing off newbies.
I'm not playing the same game as you, I will never face you, ergo. No Unfair advantage. I play with ZERO invaders, I play NO PVP. I have NO unfair advantage.
Do you have severe brain damage or something? How are you having such a hard time understanding what this mod actually is and how it functions.
If it were to give me the ability to farm (In the mod) and bring those items into multiplayer (Official) I'd understand your comments.. but that's not the case.
