Bolt of Gransax. Not only does it consistently hit for a truck in NG+7, but it also goes extremely well with the OP ancient lightning incantations.

Whatever you use to cast Impenetrable Thorns with. Spell is straight up silly, especially with Staff of the guilty and Alberic's Robes buffing it.

Discounting spells, I'd say the new Scarlet Rot glaive. Not my type of weapon, but it's got great status build up on a powerful weapon type using the good altered animations from the Swordspear. Range, damage, status, got it all.

For bosses, dual scavenger sword occult with seppuku on them. With arcane scaling you can get a massive boost to regular damage and to your bleed procs. Using jump attacks you trigger combo attack boosts in one attack and with seppuku you also trigger blood loss boosts.

One of the fastest ways to delete bosses completely.

For regular open world exploration and fighting mobs, probably blasphemous blade for all the reasons mentioned above.

PvP and PvE and overall great choice I'd say a keen build nagakiba with golden vow, flame Grant me strength and blood flame blade. The reach is unmatched, it's infusable and just very competent.

With the right talismans, Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana is basically Dark Moon Greatsword 2.0. Excellent tracking and targeting for the charged ash, and poise damage is excellent.

Blasphemous Blade is easy to use and very good, plus you build into faith so you get some of the best buffs in the game to pair with

minor drwbacks against fire resistant enemies but that's it
