Sword of Night VS the spirit summon

Is the sword that good or should I get the spirit summon and then merge it with a second spirit to calls two warriors that inflict bleed build up with their attacks

Mimic and tiche are gunna be your best spirits...depending if you can use it or not I'd go with the sword

I heard the ash is bugged and it sucks. Sword looks cool. You can probably get the ash, and the sword from another player.

If you're a Dex build at all, Sword no question. The solo spirit ash is kind of mid, much worse than standouts like Tiche or Rollo but better than a lot of others. The twins ash is bugged to do no damage under any circumstance and is basically toilet paper until a patch fixes it.

The twin ashes are not bugged for me, and they are my new favorite ash by a decent margin. They hold aggro well, deal reasonable damage, and inflict a ton of Bleed buildup. For most enemies they're good enough at dodging and blocking that they survive a long time too. They're not great for the final boss, I think they're weak to Holy damage, but for all the other DLC bosses I used those guys and had a fantastic time.

I haven't used the Sword of Night much yet, but from my experience it's kind of middling. It looks really cool, but there are options with more raw power.
