Just know it was designed purely to troll you. The hidden dog? You find out next to a site of grace so not much loss. Don't get agitated.
The bombers and arrows? Not a big deal just keep running and don't stop until you reach the end point on the central building roof otherwise they'll side swipe you. Entire point of that troll layout.
Birds? Just use the most basic magic pebble and they're suddenly not annoying.
The dual sword phantom knights? You can use something that does a lot of poise damage to kill them or just run past as they don't have any real rewards iirc (been a while tho so not 100% but mostly sure, or check wiki). There are like two of them iirc. First one next to a site of grace so just run past and safe. Second one pretends to walk away but is intended to troll you and teleport behind you to wack you so just be aware and roll away instantly before trying to fix your camera (or use shield and spin 180). Loot and move on from the second one.
Boss fight is good, though, once you get past the two minions. You can actually use that bewitching or whatever branch to turn them against the boss though and they can potentially kill or at least heavily injure the boss.
