Guard Counter not working after update

After the dlc update my controls have been changed, i play with keyboard and mouse.
Before the update i had to hold right mouse button to block, as soon as an enemy hit my shield i held down the shift key and pressed left mouse button at the same time, my character did a guard counter attack, this does not work anymore.
Whats the new key to perform guard counters when shift isn't?

That begs the question as to why not just log out of this account and into your legitimate Elden Ring account? It may not have anything to do with your initial question, but it does call into question whether an answer is deserved or not.

And why would you post such a detailed Elden Ring question if CS2 is what has been on your mind lately?

Sorry you feel that way. There are a few possibilities here.

1. To lazy to get on the legit Elden Ring account and post the question.

2. Playing on an illegitimate Family Share and don't actually have access to the Elden Ring account.

3. Playing on a legitimate Family Share and don't have access to the Elden Ring account.

4. Playing on a pirated Elden Ring version.

Suggestions on solutions would depend a lot on which of the above it is. So far, you have given nothing to work on except the symptom of a problem.

I have changed the heavy attack that is also for guard counter to Q key. Maybe try changing it to that. Pressing Q is much easier and faster than shift+lclick.
Maybe they changed how guard counters work or keys for it.

I did exactly the same thing because the Unsheathe Ash Of War has two modes and on the default KBD/M settings, they are incompatible. So I have the 'Q' key mapped to do the Sweep version. :)

As a bonus, it allows me to do the AoE version of my Sacred Blade Flail with one key press.

It may be that the OP changed weapons and that the SHFT-RMB now does something else (or wants to do something else) no matter what the Guard Counter state is. But, never got that far in the conversation. :(
