cause like, anyone can go to lvl 700 and get 99 in every stat and be powerhouses, but the point of the 150 meta is just so we can actually play with eachother when the game eventually dies out.
I personally lost the interest in giving build advices long ago.....with honourable exceptions of threads asking properly, providing stats and more.
But whatever, i gave up! Also every time i see a white phantom wielding a Purescence Cleaver or a Shadow Sunflower Blossom it warms the cockles of my hearth.
personally i've never been a fan of these meta builds. my builds are always relatively "boring" (katana + cool looking armor fan in every souls game), but it's MY "boring" ^^
If you have little or no interest in playing PvP, there isn't a "meta" anything. No "best" build, no "best weapon" or "ideal level". The only thing keeping you from going 99 across the board is your willingness to farm runes. Only thing keeping you from beating any boss is your willingness to learn it.
Its like 279 ish , its super comfy and all works out , u get actual variation and backups , its really good.
More have to give in , i was 1 of those people in the souls games , but i learned and i became better for it , and now the game is more fun , the only less fun i got now is the fact that sometimes no summons for 15 minutes and then i finally get summoned and i am greeted with a nice message : The host has died returning to ur world... lol , hence the sad and the bad builds topic.
and because they are the majority that creates a meta. not really anything you can do about it. the majority will always be the same in any game.
metas have always been around goign way way back to 80's and 90's games. but with the internet the way it is today metas form super fast just because of how easy and fast it is to share info.
they still existed in the old days but it required you to move around to different arcades, play loads of different friends on a console, wait for the monthly game magazine that told you all the broken ♥♥♥♥ :P
took much longer for metas to form. but they were there and they became permanent as old games didn't get patches :)
but yeh in Elden Ring. Rivers of blood and Moonveil katana boys are rampant.. have been since 2022 :)
