DLC oddities
I've noticed a few things in the DLC which seem half baked. Like, why is there a summoning pool at the start of the tree-worship passage? There is literally zero enemies there between the tree-worship passage and the next site of grace.

maybe it was a cut content.

Another funny thing: The DLC makes absolutely zero use of stone sword keys, but does include the more esoteric imbued sword key a single solitary time. Just funny to me.

that's because there's a single closed gate to the northwest of the scadu altus grace site which uses that key. It takes you to the lower area of the Rauh ruins where you can fight one of the gold divine birds to get their armor set

It would be too easy to stockpile Stonesword keys from the vanilla game. If anything, we would have gotten something new. I like that they weren't included, and I can just explore wherever I want.

How are you really supposed to tackle that run up before the "spiral rise" site of grace in Enir-Ilim? You know the part, where multiple guys are spamming spira at your feet? Are you really just supposed to run through and hope RNG works in your favor? It's a pretty silly design.

I think it's some kind of zig-zag movement that has to be done, but I use the assassin's gambit aow that I always carry with me in a dagger.

What are people's thoughts on the new mechanic of "locked spirit springs"? Personally I felt it was a bit underwhelming. It most cases the spirit spring unlock was located literally right next to it. In a couple edge cases, you had to travel pretty far to find the unlock in a very non-obvious spot. It's a bit like Scadutree fragments, where there is no rhyme or reason to it, it's just random exploring. I think in the future there should be some visual or audio indicator which helps you find these things (similar to the deathroot radar you get).

You can literally use Mohg Shackle on top of it to break it

You can actually bypass the need for that gate completely by taking the path down from the dancing lion boss in Ancient Ruins of Rauh

The new status "eternal sleep" seems like an especially odd addition to the DLC. Like the base game "sleep" status itself seems underdeveloped, why the need to create a new status based on it for the DLC?

It's pretty powerful too, I put a godskin noble to sleep and despite me wailing on him he never woke up. I guess it should be obvious, given the name "eternal sleep," but really.

dlc is DEFINETLY half-baked, i dont have any doubts of this, they could've taken some more time and release by the end of the year or so, sad to think that this way we could have had more interesting enemies to fight in the open field, and less trash mobs and trash loot, i really wonder what happened to from soft on regards to the development of this dlc because there are quite a few things that feel kind of odd
