Without leveling Scadutree Blessing they are.
After you level few it will be much better.
Around level 10 DLC feels like standard Elden Ring difficuty.

But yeah dlc healthbars are comparable to end game bosses, and that guy probably has good defence too considering his armor
Carry flail with you in case you encounter parry lord.
Chainlink if you're strength character or Nightrider if you're dex.
Flails can't be parried. I love to abuse NPC guy before Rennala with it.

I suppose strength character could also use colossal weapons,
but they are too slow for my liking...
Equip fire resistance talisman, fire resistance spell as well if possible.
Jump to avoid fire stomps. He is not too tough, you'll get it.
