Better map design/ tight experience/ creative exploration, right length.
Many people shoot down DS2 cuz they only play the base game.
Hmm i dont know if you are actually aware about how "polarizing" this is. Here you have your most recent WHOLESOME forum contribution.

Wich is pretty much the contratry you just posted......dude, what are you doing with your life? I know! Posting meaningful content in the Elden Ring forums!
Put some effort please, this can be considered another way to entertain specially if you have some consistency and of course sense of humor!
Goodbye,OP. Thanks for this awesome thread my good man and Miyazaki never stopped providing well designed games.
It was just such an awful game, dude. I put in like, 100 hours and I couldn't give you any information about it. Two playthroughs right when the game came out, and then SOTFS, got invaded twice. What trash. PVP was my favorite part of DS1.
Idk if you played ER but if you did then you'd know it wasn't well designed.
You lost me at 5 swamps in DS3 was peak design.
Or a boss where you break his bracelets in two hits and he falls over.
Challenge!!! Exploration!!! Excitement?
I'll be honest I slept walked through all of Dark Souls 3 except the dlc bosses, and the dragon rider guy.
So I literally got 3 bosses to play the game with any level resembling a non one shot try.
Listen I ain't going to bat for DS3. It was fine, I liked the tight cohesion.
DS1 is where the world design truly shined. Not this slop
They probably won't since Elden RIng sold the most copies.
Okay, OP, let me help you and answer your topic: If Miyazaki made a kawaii dress up game, it would be lightyears better than your bait. There. Mark this as the thread answer. Done.
DS1 level design is some of the best, if not the best world ever designed in gaming. I don't think the developers truly understand why that resonated with us the way it did. I'd say even us fans have trouble articulating it.
Seems like elden ring dlc they tried to recreate it, but all they were thinking about is "lets make this have insane verticality to it!" missed the mark for me entirely.
