Bloodfiend Arm vs Rellana's Swords

I want to make a strong OP build next run. What weapon do you think is better and why?

I wanted to wait until it got nerfed and it seemed it did. I am not looking to make the game broken but keep it balanced. With the nerf, I hope it is strong, but not broken like pre nerf.

i edited my post a bit :P the bleed buildup was taken down a bit, but not by much. still really powerful

Rellana swords are absolute ass for pve

Bloodfiend's Arm with arcane build and blood infusion is a beast and a boss melter. I staggered Messmer so hard, I still don't know what moves he gains in second phase. Rellana's Swords are flashy but they are far from OP in PVE.

Edit: to better explain why, Bloodfiend's Arm has a few things at once going for it. If you infuse it with blood, you not only get a godly blood buildup, but also just good damage in general. You can dump all your points in arcane, and they will scale into damage, so you have a very good Strength-like weapon and a very good blood buildup at once. Even after nerf, one of the best weapons in the game currently

Didn't try powerstancing, but a single two-handed arm has a very good heavy attack animation, so i'd stick with single. This heavy attack is also what builds so much bleef

Bloodfiend Arm even after nerf is currently still the strongest close range weapon in the game.

Damn you guys are convincing me to use this bloodfiend weapon now. I never did an arcane build, but if I do an arcane build, then I will try to see if bleed bloodfiend arm is any good.

Yeah Bloodfiend's Arm is far and away the better choice. If you don't want to do a bleed build with it, it's also fantastic for Poison btw.

For drip, go with the Omen set. It matches perfectly.

Bloodfiend's Arm gives more bang for your buck with far less stat investment. Pre-Nerf with Blood infusion, it was a guaranteed 1 hit instableed + the impact damage on a charged heavy attack. Now it's around 2-3 charged heavy hits.

Rellana's Twin Blades is basically the far more complicated older sibling of the Sword of Night and Flame. The physical attacks scale off Dex, the Light attack AoW scales off Int, the Heavy attack AoW scales off Faith, so to make the most out of this, you'd need to either be on NG+ or have your stat points spread out too thin.
