Color/brightness bug
Hello, I have a weird problem that is only present in Elden Ring that I either somehow just noticed now, or is a recent occurrence.

The problem is simple: some textures (mostly noticeable with grass at certain time of day like early morning) change their color saturation and/or brightness when the camera is moving. So a golden yellow grass will turn almost greenish when the camera is moving and then go back to its original color when the camera stops, along with a noticeable change in brightness.
I tried recording this issue but when I played back the recording, the problem is not visible.
This prompted me to believe the problem is on my end with my monitor, but I checked and no other game (tried RDR2, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk) has this problem.

I have updated the drivers, tried turning off HDR in the monitor itself (HDR in Windows settings is disabled), changing to full screen, changing random settings but nothing works.

I'd really appreciate any help, I can't find anything online about this specific problem.

Just want to say I am having the same problem.
I had the same problem on my previous PC with a different monitor and now on my new 4k PC and 4K monitor.

Both AMD Cards and systems.
Has anyone found a solution? I’m also experiencing this issue

I don't know what happened to the previous comments in this thread but I'll repeat the general consensus.

This is a monitor issue, the fact that recording it did not reproduce the phenomenon should have tipped me off. It's called pixel overshoot or (inverse) ghosting or motion blur; it's a bit unclear as a lot of these monitor problems have overlapping causes.

Unfortunately, aside from buying a better monitor, the only solution it seems you may try is to fiddle with your monitor's overdrive settings; set it to low or medium and see if that works. If there are other potential fixes, I did not find them.

Good luck!

Hey there. I had the same problem last year, and i replied here, but my message never showed up lol No idea why.

I fixed that problem by turning down my sharpening on my Monitor. Not sure why, but it worked. At least in my case it worked. Not sure what else i did, but i didn't need a new monitor.
I wish I could change my settings but my Koorui Monitors dont allow settings to change while hdr is active unfortunately. I also bought a better koorui monitor that looks the same as my other koorui and made sure it was an ips instead of a VA panel and the same problem occurs. i unfortunately cant afford yet another as I've already spent thousands on my current set up just before the tariff ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the 50 series dumpster fire.

Can't you just deactivate HDR? I'm not really a tech gal, so idk. My HDR was turned off and i was able to play with the sharpening slider in my Monitors settings. I also used AMD image sharpening in my Adrenalin settings at like 80%. And when my Monitor had its sharping at the same lvl or close to it, i got those nasty flickering or whatever it was in the game (when moving the camera etc) So yeah, turning down the slider to half in Monitor settings fixed that issue for me.

Wish i could be more helpful, but that's all i had to do in my case. Sorry, but i hope you can fix it somehow. :praisesun:
I appreciate the response. Yeah I can of course turn of HDR but picture and color quality is really important to me and hdr really draws out the colors in some sections. turning off hdr on the monitor would be annoying as i have everything else running hdr but i will definitely try a bunch of stuff like what you presented to see if it can produce a solution that can help me narrow down the cause
