How to increase frost build-up ?

I have one toon concentrating on bleed and for sure, stacking arcane does the trick.

I'm trying a frost build on another toon with dual cold katanas, and while I note the frost buildup increasing as I level up the weapons, my intelligence level seems to make no difference whatsoever. FWIW I enjoy the build just for variety sake. I already have a toon with dual twinblades who does insane bleed damage so I don't want to replicate that.

One thought that does occur to me might be to apply Chilling Mist to both weapons............. but oh damn according to Fextralife wiki it only applies to the main hand weapon :(.

exactly like fextralife said. if you have cold weapon, imbued it with chilling mist.

Unfortunately outside of the chilling mist AoW, there's no way to increase frost buildup. Frost is just one of those things that are a flat number. I wish it did increase with int, but it is what it is. Int is already really strong too, so that's probably why they have it so it doesn't scale. Especially how you can reset it with any fire damage.

Crikey you know I just thought of that. I should have a fire katana in my offhand ? Or switch out to reset it the frost ?

most common combo is river of blood + cold uchigatana.

RoB does fire, doesn't it ? Another viable option would be to keep using the dual frost uchigatanas to apply frostbite insanely fast, but once it's applied swap out to a fire weapon in the offhand for a hit or two.

you could try fire Wakizashi maybe or more light dagger.
