Strength Faith Build Weapons

Can someone recommend the best weapons for a strength faith build? I am currently 18-18 str-faith and have finished Stormveil using a broadsword and Finger Seal, not sure which stat to prioritize. I think I am 27 vigor and 14 endurance. I am reluctant to sink stones and souls into these weapons if I will just be swapping them out.

Thinking of going greatshield, templar/paladin build, but I am not that great at the melee combat and have relied on ranged attacks for tougher enemies (I did an Int build last playthrough, ranged sorceries with moonveil, using sword for weaker enemies and sorceries for bosses.)

I know for a fact the Crucible Knights' weapon (sword and spear both) are great. I have a character taking after one, but both the weapons are unlocked fairly late into the game - no point waiting for them.

After quick check up on the entire game's arsenal it seems that the closest thing you have is... Golden Halberd, dropped by the Tree Sentinel that greets you into Limgrave at the very start of the game. It will require 12 FTH, 14 DEX and 30 STR to weild (20 to two-hand).
Physical damage will scale with STR, while holy damage will scale with FTH.
Downsides: being a "special" weapon you can't buff it with anything and it has pre-set Ash of War that you can't change: Golden Vow, which increases damage and defenses for yourself and nearby allies. Not flashy and not super useful if you are playing alone.

Until then you'll have to do what everyone does - find a normal average weapon you like and either buff it with golden buffs or just put some Holy ash of war on it, like Golden Blade.
Hammers and Axes are generally the way to go for STR, some occasional greatsword might scale with it as well, but there's usually like 1-2 of those per game.

Knight's Greatsword is a sold weapon with a nice moveset, and it looks real nice. Pretty fitting for a paladin too I'd say, but needs to be farmed from the basic knights using it. If you want something bigger, Zweihander and Greatsword (colossal) is a good choice too.

If you want big axes, Longhaft Axe or the Crescent Moon Axe are good options for greataxes that you can get early on, but they need to be farmed.

If you're more of a bonk type of guy, the Great Mace is a great option. Gets S scaling in str when maxed out with heavy, so it can hit really hard. Also works really well with infusions.

For greatshields, Gilded Greatshield is pretty solid. Needs a fair amount of strength to use though, since it's 36. For a good greatshield with fairly low requirements, Golden Beast Crest Shield is very solid.

If we're going DLC for weapons, Fire Knight Greatsword is an obvious choice. One of the best IMO. On top of that, infusing it with fire or flame just makes it even more powerful, especially if you add something like flame skewer as its ash of war. I mean, with that you just add a strong buff even if you miss it, so it's just insane for any str/faith build, or even pure faith.

For DLC greatshields, there's a solid one that can reach 100% in non physical, Black Steel Greatshield is really good. Infuse it with sacred, and you got yourself a 100% block on holy. You only lose 5% physical resist, but you can always experiment if physical or holy works better for you. Not to mention that if you combine that with the deflection tear and you pretty much got two damage immunities when blocking.

At that point in the game, a strength weapon using the Sacred Blade AoW you can find north of the church you find the flask of wondrous physick in would probably be your best bet. The ash is on a path north-ish of the church.

try out the tree spear, u just need to get past godrik and it is right around the corner, it is a good faith based great spear, and goes extremely well whit a great shield for stabing in the safety of your shield

no you dont, you kill godrick, get past the castle, you enter liurnia of the lakes, go to the broken bridge, on the side of godrick's castle, trough liunia of the lakes side, there will be a stoped carriage whit a single troll gurading it, it is the tree spear

the tree spear is on a dead end behind stormveil castle, to the east of liurnia

you dont even have to kill godrick, you can just use the passage east of the castle to reach liurnia

I was referring to the literal tree-spear. The actual name is... Sylvia, or Sulivia's Spear, somesh*t like that. The one that's just a tree.

22 dex isn't that much, but yeah, that one ^^
