Save Data is corrupted
Hey can someone solve this issue. It happened after the 1.13 patch, even though the game was playable the day before.. I lauchned a new game and it worked, but my first game is still corrupted.

tell us what exact problem you have.

A corrupted savefile would not allow to create a new char.
Do you use a steam Beta client ?

when I continue my main it says "save data corrupted. Loading not possible" and no i dont using a steam Beta client before. I changed it just now but nothing happened same issue.

When I start the game the screen goes white for a few seconds

hmm if it says corrupted savefile data the save is damaged there are tools that could repair the savefile but the chance is low and it comes with risks of become banned.

if you do not have a manual backup the chance is low to get this fixed.
cloud saves are problematic and bugged with this game,

normally in this case i advice to try to repair the savefile or delete it and start a new savefile.

Hi Dark. Let me toss a question in here.

Serhat, do you use mods? If so, are you sure the save error is an Elden Ring error and not the Mod telling you there is a problem?

you are right if a mod is in use it could be related to a mod, i do only vanilla.

No i dont use a mod, it happened as i said after the patch 1.13 probably.

i did copy pace the savefile, for a reload of the file, but didint worked neither.

im having the exact same issue and i dont play with mods either. it worked just fine yesterday but now this afternoon it wont let me log in to my main character with 120 hours.

So, nobody has EVER had ANY Elden Ring mods installed? Does not matter if they have been uninstalled and are not currently being used. If a mod has EVER been installed, it could have an impact on the system.

no i had never installed a elden ring mod, only purchased the game from steam.

Very strange. Dark is correct on that you should not be able to create a new character. The save files are validated at the start of the Main Menu. You can see it happen up in the upper right corner of the screen.

The game is not recognizing the save file as corrupted during the validation. That is the strange part.

Question: Are you attempting to play Online or Offline?
