In DS3 you touch an egg, and a LOT of time passes. then you're in the dreg heap.

When we enter the DLC in elden ring, we touch a hand with a ring on it, that ring is missing in the final boss fight, but is on the egg-corpse in moghwyn's temple.

Conslusion:
- miquella is definately not into girls (canon lore, and you'll survive)
- thiollier is best boy (also canon lore)
- miquella's probably dead
- the DLC is a fever dream

All of elden ring is the survivor's of war' ways of coping with invader armies, and great losses.
