Not just me? I guess we will have to wait for FWS to update.

wait what? I thought they were supposed to give us ultrawide in 1.13, not take it away!

I still have black bars with this update (steam deck)

The enable fix box keeps unticking in Flawless Widescreen when launching the game. It just needs an update to be compatible with the recent game patch. Just have to wait.

Throw away your meme monitor and get a regular one, then you won't have this issue.

Judging by the latest Steam hardware survey, at least 12% of Steam users have display configs with aspect ratios different than 16:9. The game is technically capable of displaying on those monitors without letterboxing/black bars.

Keeping those things in mind, if anything is weird, it's that Elden Ring still only supports 16:9 aspect ratios without black bars, despite how trivial it would be to add to the game and AC:6 proves that they know how to do it. An update breaking compatibility with a tool that fixes what FromSoft can't (though it prevents online play) is just the hilarious cherry on top.

Or you could just buy a normal monitor and never have to tinker with mods or argue with people online about this stupid stuff. I'm sure that would be liberating.

I have a 16:9 "normal" display for my desktop. but 21:9 is normal too, so is 16:10, which many mobile device, including the Steam Deck sold by VALVe, have. I actually own the latter. Multi-monitor setups are also normal these days.

I'll never understand people arguing for LESS options in games. Like, why die on that hill. What's the gameplan?
