I'm using a colossal.
I can guard counter SOME of this combo enders.
There's a few I have to roll past the last hit to maybe get a rolling r1.
And then there's some combos I still haven't figured out how to dodge.
Eg the meteor barrage seems inconsistent.
Tho sometimes I wonder how they get so lucky with a somewhat predictable RNG of what attacks come when, because many of them just keep doing the same thing 3 or 4 times in a row for me. 🤷🏻♂️
My strategy was to use the Bloodfiend's Arm with a Blood infusion, the Two-Handed Talisman, Axe Talisman, LoB's Exaltation, and Golden Braid. A little cheesy since the BF's Arm is so good, but you can still do it with plenty of other weapons. Mostly it's a matter of waiting until your summon grabs his aggro and he winds up for a long attack, then quickly charge up a heavy while his back is turned and whomp him. Then dodge around until the summon pulls aggro again, and repeat. When he starts up his second phase, if your Holy resistance is good enough you can just face-tank the Miquella's Light and bash him for free, sometimes even with an extra R1 if you're quick. The Lord's Divine Fortification incantation helps there.
Oh, one last tip. You can put the Opaline Bubbletear in your Wondrous Physick and drink it before entering the boss room, that will let you get your summon out guaranteed with only scratch damage.
hard to learn from no-hit videos because they rely on having perfect rng and dont teach you how to heal, on top of using builds that are pretty broken.
To beat him I basically had to slowly spearpoke him to death, and the battle basically just became an annoying stamina management routine.
I used the Fingerprint shield, any other shield eats up too much stamina whenever he hits you. Fingerprint shield can take a lot of hits and your stamina will remain manageable. I tried using some shields with holy defense, but they have like 95% physical block instead of 100%, and all his attacks do so much physical damage that I was still getting destroyed. I found it was better to just block all the physical damage and take smaller amounts of holy damage.
I used the two-headed turtle talisman to keep my stamina replenishing quickly, and the golden braid to negate all of his holy atomic bomb attacks in the second phase.
I used a +25 Lance with bleed on it...it didn't do a lot of damage with each hit but I just kept my shield up and kept shieldpoking him and putting bleed on him. Just had to keep shieldpoking him while also managing stamina every time he'd eat up my stamina with his hits.
Doing it this way means you can hit him constantly no matter what, and when he takes a slight breather between his attacks you can just put the shield down for some quick stamina regen, because these breathers are never long enough for you to get in a hit with any non-shieldpoke weapon.
