- Turn off Turbo Boost:
Turbo Boost dynamically increases the CPU's clock speed above its base frequency to enhance performance. Turning it off can reduce power consumption and heat generation but will lower peak performance.
- Turn down Core Ratios:
Adjusting the core ratios (multipliers) can lower the clock speed of the CPU. This is particularly useful for reducing power consumption and heat, especially if the CPU is running hotter than desired or if you prioritize stability over maximum performance.
- Turn down Offset Voltage:
Decreasing the offset voltage can reduce the power the CPU uses, which can also help manage heat and power consumption. This process, known as undervolting, can maintain performance while improving efficiency and cooling.
Make sure to monitor the system's stability and performance when making these adjustments, as reducing clock speeds and voltages can sometimes lead to system instability if not done correctly. Always change settings incrementally and test thoroughly after each adjustment.
edit: That being said, it could also be an EAC issue, but I would recommend monitoring your CPU. I've even heard of cases where people's CPUs have completely fried itself and stopped working altogether.
The first year of owning elden ring i thought it was unplayable until i discovered it was on my end. ( installed mods and didnt uninstall them properly + intels 12-14 gen isnt the most stable platform. )
Edit: if your having as much crashes as you are, its on your end , not the game.

make your choice, i would return this hardware and completely switch to AMD the trouble that this CPU's cause is not worth the time to try to fix the issues.
It's incredible that even Cyberpunk 2077, the game that had more launch issues than a SpaceX rocket, somehow outperformed Elden Ring on my rig. I've also tried everything for months but I had no luck, I even disabled e-cores on my bios but the performance didn't improve despite it says it's running at 60 fps but it feel as if it's running at 20~30 fps with stuttering.
At this point I don't think FromSoftware will fix it, sadly.
performance issues are not crash issues.
Statistics is not your thing.
Post your crash logs test your cpu. Accept the truth.
This game only crash if something at the machine it is running is wrong, far less than 1% of all users have crashes.
No large number of posts? Search this forum for 'crash' and you will find over 2,500 between June 20 and July 20. How did you arrive at less than 1%?
Do you want to help me get this resolved, or do you want to deflect, deny, and hide your company's fail?
2500 (what is not true at all there are not 2500 posts) is far less than 1% from more than 600000 Players.
Btw i checked your claim i can find not even 100 posts. In the past 50 days.
A lot of the crash posts in the last month where related to a Steam Beta Problem that is even now not solved by valve.
Crash logs:
Windows key+r
Eventvwr
On the left side click windows logs and there applications
Now you see the windows logs,
Crashes are the red ones.
What company ?
I analyse and fix problems with this game since release, there is only one specific game bug that cause a crash to Desktop and there are only a hand full of ppl over the past 2 years that encountered this crash.
Beside this i proofed several thousand times over this periode of time that all other crashes where related to a problem in the windows System or at Hardware side.
I know the Intel Hardware Problem, since about 3 weeks i pinpionted more than 20 crashes of other ppl to a faulty Intel CPU, there are specific logs that show a faulty CPU and also specific ones that point to a instable Intel CPU.
Oddly enough, my gaming laptop runs the DLC without issues on medium settings.
And while I understand that these crashes only affect a small percentage of players, anybody who says that this is an "us" problem and not a problem with the game is just plain wrong. There's something unique to the DLC that's broken the game for me and many others. I hope Fromsoft is doing something to address the issue.
