"Contrary to what the description implies, none of the pieces of this set apply any type of debuff or effect increasing damage taken
What the description is actually referring to is that the damage negation values on this set are dramatically lower than the values for all other armor sets of comparable weight. (i.e the 15 other sets weighing between 27 and 32 all have physical damage negation values of 26-27 compared to the 30.5 weight Rakshasa set at just 19.4)"
Smithbox is a tool for modding Elden Ring... including the Regulation.bin file. But even if one doesn't intend to change anything, it allows taking a look at the parameters too... so it would be quite easy to find the stats for the Rakshasa armour and see exactly what is going on there.
In fact the only reason I can't do it right now is that I'm meant to be working, and I can't have my gaming computer and my work computer running at the same time.
It has nothing to do with code >-<
its a User Interfeace that makes the parameters of a configuration file visible and changable for users in an easy to read interface.
The configuration file is "regulation.bin"
I have not tried smithbox but you could do the same with yapped and you can do the same with cheat engine tables from nexusmods.
However i dont think in this case its necessarily that easy to find.
Since you need to know exactly what you are looking for.
You need the fieldname for taking more damage and you need to know where you can find that field.
you first need to look for talismans that make you take more damage and see where this
taking more damage is stored.
1.)if its stored directly within a field in the equip_params then its easy.
2.)Itf its stored elswhere than its more difficult to find out
In case the Talismans store it in 1.)
Then rakshasa armor has a field for taking more damage
If the Talismans store teh taking more damage elsewhere you have to know where
and than look at the same place for rakshasa armor
Now we can almost guarantee that Fextralife is correct on their info
since they usually double check and have guys that test this stuff
They got a lot of hate in the first 3 weeks of Elden Ring base game release for posting too much info too fast that was wrong.
They learned from that hate
