Door that doesn’t open. (DLC spoilers)

There is a door inside Shadow Keep, just in front of the elevator that goes down to take us to the battle with Gaius. Perfectly place in such way that feels like a shortcut Fromsofware forgot to open for us just before the DLC was released. Do you guys know what door I’m talking about? I was genuinely upset the first time I found this door on the outside of the fortress, just to understand that doesn’t have absolutely any purpose. Unless there is a hidden way to open it that I couldn’t find.

Yes, but that specific door is placed in such a way that it is absurd that it cannot be opened. In other cases I get it, but when you see the same door on the other side, being such a small and open spot on the outside with an elevator and a small wall right in front with only that door…. it doesn't make any sense.
