Can I start this DLC if I'm already on new game plus?

Can I start this DLC if I'm already on new game plus? And if I do, is it going to force me to play through the DLC on new game plus difficulty?

If so, I'm not going to waste my money because I can't believe FromSoft would overlook such a simple thing. I'm not about to be forced to choose between playing through the ENTIRE game again, OR playing the DLC on an enhanced difficulty mode.

DLC will be whatever NG you are on. So if your main character you have the most time in is on NG+, you will be NG+ in the DLC.

That said, the NG+ buff really isn't that big, so I don't think it's a huge deal.

You can start the DLC on new game plus, and the difficulty will match that level. You will have to start a new game if you want to play through the DLC without the increased difficulty.

You can always do the Bloody finger quest line to get early access to mohg, and then enter the dlc

otherwise yeah, that's the only way in, outside of potentially mods?

Dlc is a new area in the game. So yeah, you pla y the dlc at whatever difficulty that you're currently playing the game at.

Ok then, definitely not wasting my money. I'm at Stormveil Castle on the beginning on New Game Plus.
Sounds like I'm hearing I can't access the content that I'm about to spend money on without having to kill endgame bosses again AND THEN forced to play the DLC on enhanced difficulty.

What a terrible game design, FromSoft.

I partially agree, as most people who NG+ wouldn't have known there would be a DLC let alone how to access it.

that being said, plenty of people have made save games for download with everything unlocked at level 150+ you can simply respect your character, change their look and essentially have your character back and enter the DLC

You don't have to go through the whole game. You can beat Godrick, use Varre to skip to Mogwyn Palace, and beat Mogh. You already have access to Radahn by just travelling a single time to Altus and then going to the Redmane castle. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
