Sorry. All I saw was a complaint regarding something totally irrelevant to the game play.
Please elucidate and enlighten me as to the point you were trying to make. :)
There are plenty of castles/Forts with permanently closed doors. Fort Gael that leads to Redmane has a closed gate. The Shaded castle doesn't even have a gate. Also, I'm sure the front door to Leyndell palace is also sealed shut, we use the back gate.

Shaded castle has second bonfire, inner gate, which looks like a gate to me
The front big ass door to leyndell are leading nowhere, check the map to see what's behind them. I think they act like some sort water barrier.
