Let's say for argument's sake that the weight units are arbitrary. That doesn't change that the Bandit Mask weighs the same as a ******* sword.
I'm using the Bandit Mask just as an example. Many armors, and weapons follow this silly logic.
This tells me that weight is an arbitrary metric with no logical basis. Trying to analyze any kind of reasoning behind it is therefore futile.
The bigger they are, the likelihood they are heavier too?
There are too many examples where this can't be the case.
There is an actual brick in the game and it weighs 12.5 so clearly the bandit mask weighing 3 is NOT equal to a brick. 😌
I expect your next assertion would be from your pops about how you confirmed horses and tornadoes do not mix or that the bonfire reincarnation system is inaccurate.
??? Things in the game have weight, some things have more weight than others. They have weight classes such as light, medium, and heavy armor. The devs keep this logic, however there are gaps in this selfsame logic that doesn't make sense. It's either lazy, or a blunder.
You try to make my assertion sound silly by talking about the fictional parts of the game. You have no point.
I like your idea here. This would make the most sense.
I was obviously being sarcastic and joking with some light-hearted humor while also making a point.
You have no idea what these items are made of. Don't assume stuff that looks like cloth or metals is made from the same type of compositions as stuff in our world. Do not assume they work by the same laws of physics, either. I mean, i get the logical approach (however pointless your thread is over a video game balancing logic), however, realistically speaking you would still be wrong because you're assuming they function identically to our reality. This is too narrow scope thinking, no offense.
Heck, for all we know there could be things like karma, remnant soul, magical energies, or other concepts influencing the weight even.
Sadly I believe this is the most likely
