why does using the host and furled finger mirror considered inappropriate behaviour?

Recently I got a taste of invading after trying out varre's quest. So I thought why not make the host confused using the trick mirror talisman. But lo and behold, inappropriate behavior. If I put it on after invading tho, nothing happens.
