'Invading another world' 'Could not invade, failed to join session'

This keeps happening to me and not sure why. my internet is fine. Is it hosts dying as I invade them so it fails? And also recently sometimes my game will just straight up crash when I join another world, summoned or invading. Is there a patch coming soon that fixes this?

EDIT: Just tried 2 more invasions, same problem. Its even worse since im forced to wait for the error to appear, so I cant even cancel the invasion early to try again

EDIT: got the error again

EDIT: Gotten the error 5 times in a row now. Can still be summoned no problems, just not letting me invade

EDIT: Game just crashed again as it said I was invading someone

EDIT: 6 times in a row now

EDIT: 7 times now

EDIT: Game just crashed again as I found a world to invade

EDIT: Got my first invasion after 7 failed attempts and 2 game crashes

IIRC this is the usual time for Fromsoft to do updates, server maintenance, and ban waves. Every thursday afternoon/evening PST

I have this issue currently. I can join, see the players and then immediately "Unable to be summoned, failed to join session"

Idk if this is true, but check the list of recent players you played with. It can happen if in the meantime he summoned someone who has blocked you.
