Should I have been using this?

Not sure it even does anything. In DS2, it allows you to rotate your character as you attack. But, I've never been able to do that in ER.

It really helps in PvP or on bosses that move around a lot so you can still dead-angle them while locked on with weapons that for some reason don't track as well on their own.

Sounds like you've got it to work. Do you have any advice or tips for the people in this thread that can't figure it out? I personally DGAS, I'm used to having four-way rolling from DS1.

It's much more suited to PvP than PvE, in order to prevent getting backstabbed or to aid in dead-angle attacks(clipping behind a shield with wonky hitboxes)

It maybe only helps when you're locked onto an enemy and the enemy is moving around you, so you don't drop the lock on while attacking.

Or it works only when you're not locked on.
