Messmer had the accursed darksign and was a hollow

Sure he was, but was he a hollow and does that mean that Elden Ring and dark souls are in the same universe? A few items that are ingame people just brush them aside for "ah its just an homage and not lore".

im pretty sure they said eldenring was not connected to any of the other games. i dont remember where but i swear i seen that somewhere.

And that the thing, somebody said it and then we get messmer with the darksign in his face in the dlc and that tgw has influence over many a lands. Would not wonder me if we find out that its all pocket dimension layers and going below the ground moves you to another realm for some reason.

Abyss is in King's Field, too. Doesn't mean it's in the same universe as DS3.

Hence the "crazy" part. I wasn't actually serious about that post, because I remember reading somewhere that they said that it was a separate world with nothing to do with previous games.

Yeah, theories like that have been bouncing around for years, well before Elden Ring came out even. A lot of people also speculate that the Land of Reeds is where Sekiro is set.
