tear? which blocks (heal) damage when being hit.

I have seen several times invaders using flask and getting around zero damage several times when hit with sound with which heal goes off. I could nor find what is this, neither I see any tear which would potentially do that. Could anyone please tell me what is that item?

Thank you! Makes sense now. Really strange though that first time I saw it was after dlc came out, after 400 hours of playing this game.

keep in mind, this only works while being hit with elemental damage. if an opponent in pve or pvp deals purely physical damage, you will still take damage as normal.

Sure. I get it. I assume it could work amazingly though against Bayle for example. And it works very good against Rellana's twin blades which I try to enjoy on faith-int build. Although this particular game does not make it easy to enjoy such a build at least on lvl 150. Weapons options is rather limited and still no dark ds3 infusion. Good thing that this tear lasts only 15 seconds though. I assume running away is an option in most cases.
