Is there a reliable way to dodge/avoid them when they start trashing around on ground? I tried running around circles but they track like you like a homing missile. Spamming dodge helps only a little. Jumping still gets you hit. Running backwards only sometimes works and even if it does you end up around other enemies or get hit by blood pools. This is ng7 so when they trash on ground 2 hits kill you and they attack like 10+ times. Dont tell me to level vigor because it is 99.

Probably, but damned if I could ever execute that. They're absolute bastards.

Either mount up or bloodhound step. That thing attacks faster than dodge and goes faster than running.

Did you try the Raptor of the Mist ash? Maybe that would also allow for a jump attack.

You would get hit by the following attacks from the stupid thing.

I tend to roll into them: it isn't a perfect solution, but if you manage to roll near their eyes, they can't steer properly and follow you, forcing them to stop attacking and circle around. I think they're also weak to magic and/or holy, so a wave of gold, or loretta's mastery is your best source of damage to punish them while they circle around you.

Ok guys after messing around for one hour I found the perfect solution. When they start doing it immediately run to the middle of their body, and keep running to stay near the middle. This way they cant touch you even for once.

Try this i used it to beat Elden Beast. Your timing tho should be on spot but is pretty forgiving.

I'm not sure if you want to fight them or avoid them. They aren't worth fighting so use Crepus's Vial Talisman and/or Black Knife armor to sneak around them to grab any loot in the area.
