fix alexander's bugged ass questline
this has got to be one of the most broken quests in this game

here's the situation:
1. I helped him in Limgrave
2. Met him in Gael Tunnel
3. Beat Radahn
4. Exhausted his dialogue after Radahn
5. Beat Magma Wyrm at Gelmir, talked to Alexander in the lava, got the jar head.

Now this is where ♥♥♥♥ starts to break down.

6. I did NOT summon him at Fire Giant, even though the summon sign was there, because i clearly remembered having skipped that step many times in the past, with it having no effect on the quest.
7. He didn't appear in Farum Azula because
8. he moved BACK to Radahn's arena, where he is eating corpses.

just what in the ♥♥♥♥ is up with alex? or am i tripping here and summoning him at Fire Giant is a MUST? The wiki says he "can" be summoned, not "has to be".

that's what i thought too, at least up to this point, i guess I'll summon him in NG+
i would guess him moving back to radahn arena is a bug
His personal quest line is ended exactly where he is suppose to spawn the 'second time.' This is something everyone can easily miss because with some casual play through Alexander will come to the Round Table on his own. AKA where his quest will wrap up. <<Spoiler

Are you sure? I've never seen him in the round table, I thought his quest always ended in Farum Azula where he challenges you to a duel and you have to kill him

Depends, am I mistaken one npc for another?
Alexander to me=Deathroot quest line start. He will die at the round table, and this I know because yes I completed it entirely. It finishes by cross quest line with another npc at the hold.

If that is not Alexander or is a different result of his quest line idk. In mine he dies by the hand of the comfort witch.

Alexander is the Jar that you find in Limgrave, his quest starts by helping him out of a hole he fell in.

Ooooh the Jar of course
Not the Deathroot knight.
Well he ends somewhere on a ledge, Lucaria I think. I know for a fact it does end with fighting him to the death. That's his own desire.
After Radahn, he moves to a spot in Liurnia, just above Jaburg. You should have talked to him here before he moves to Mt. Gelmir, interesting that he supposedly did in your game. Try going there and then see if that moves him ahead?

i think in a recent patch the liurnia part is skippable if you get to gelmir "early"
if this is bugged or intended i dont know
Ive done the quest 6 times now. The steps i take are:

-talk at the Redmane during the Festival
-After fight talk near Blaidd
-talk near magma worm
-Farum Azula
-done

You don't have to, and I've done the same, except I did talk to him in Liurnia. There's also a dragon there where Alexander would spawn if you haven't kill it earlier in the area. Kill it and then go back and Alexander should be there.
