A question about mods...
I missed a few things on my first playthrough. Mostly emotes, spells and a few armor sets. You know, usual stuff that gets lost when you don't talk to certain NPCs before certain points of the game.

I read out there that there is a mod called Grand Merchant that will just sell every item I have missed during my playthrough.

The question is... can I install the mod, buy the gestures, spells and armors and then remove the mod without getting banned from online playing?

I know the most obvious answer is to just do a NG+ or start a new save but I don't have that much free time and now that I mostly play online coop, it really sucks to miss some gestures and fashion stuff.

Can anyone tell me? I have never used mods in a Fromsoft game because I heard you can be banned by altering save data.

I think if you don't have anything altered (gear, consumables) on your char, then it's fine. But i'm not sure.

as long as the stats are the same as if you got them naturally (no BS scaling or choosing AoW on somber weapons) there are definitely you tubers who use the mod and they showcase the weapons in pvp so i think youll be fine.

Yes, I heard some people can do stuff like getting stats over 99 or having 50 strength at level 20 and that will get them banned. I'm honesly not interested on cheating. If I wanted to cheat I wouldn't be making this question, I would just do the usual dirty stuff.

Duping consummables neither concerns me. If I wanted to do so, I would just do the savegame copypaste old trick.

But I really regrets not following a guide to get all the quests done on my first playthrough. Now I'm missing things that I can only get by going through the game again from the beginning, and if I have some time to play I would rather do some coop or invasions than going through all the solo PvE content again.

I would really appreciate if some people could confirm me the Grand Merchant install and delete thing can help me get the missed out stuff without getting a ban. I can't be the only one who had this idea.

I mean... what if, for example, I get on NG1 both Bayle's spells? Would the game know that I got both choices without restarting the playthrough and get me banned?

That's a pretty simple and blunt answer...

I heard bans on this game are 180 days instead of... forever. Maybe I should just backup the save, try it and just restore the save if I get a ban and try again this winter. If the 180 days ban isn't true, at least seamless coop will always be an option.

Thanks for your answer. I will think about it.

the game wont check if you have too many of something you could have 12 katanas at lvl one on a new character it wont even matter if they are all +25 you will get banned if you have a +30 weapon or a somber weapon with a different ash than its supposed to

you'll be fine as long as you disable anticheat and play offline while the mods are installed. Just don't get forget to toggle anti cheat back on before playing online without the mods installed. and don't use any of the cut content items with [ERROR] in the name

Thank you, guys. I checked the mod on Nexus and the author says it's not yet ready to work after the DLC came out.

So I guess I will keep an eye on the mod and wait to see if I can get the things I missed from there. In the meanwhile I will try to lower the amount of hours I play so I don't get too burned out of this game.

EDF6 is gonna be out in a few weeks so I guess I will be busy anyways.
