There are some things that I do not like about Elden Ring and I am worried for the future games
Will keep it short. While I was playing the DLC I started to see all the flaws about Elden Ring, and I wonder how many people are feeling the same way as I am.

I am tired of fighting big monsters that take up the entire screen and you have to keep hitting their feet, and I do not like it when they put you in a small room and there's freaking no space to move around to fight the boss. Elden Ring is filled with these, it's not fun. If it was done like in Shadow of The Colossus, then it might have worked? The problem is we ain't playing Shadow of The Colossus.

I honestly got sick and tired of fighting dragons, there are just too many of them, and they are all the same. The textures of the dragons and their fire breath might slightly change but it is still the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss!

I'm tired of fighting Erdtree avatars, again, same exact boss, and they do not feel rewarding in my opinion. When you have learned the way they fight, it is a piece of cake.
In the DLC you will fight the same exact bosses from the main game... haven't we beaten them enough already? Like... the fallen star beast as an example.
The delayed attacks is lame, and it is getting annoying.
Elden Ring felt too bright for my taste. I miss the gothic, dark theme of Demon Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

The dungeons and caves are again mostly copy pasted layouts, some are slightly different than others but it is still a chore, you often just earn something to cast a different type of spirit and that is it, it sucks when you don't use these, it just feels like a big waste of time. I would rather play a smaller game with cool level design than what we got.

I wish the quests were more straightforward, if you do not follow a guide, then good luck finding your way and finishing them.

The final boss in the DLC was way too difficult and it truly sucked that I had to start using a shield for his second phase, I wanted to play the game with a two handed sword, it felt like the game forced me to do this, as if they want us to experiments with builds, and I do not want that.

I think that is all. It was still a very good game though, but after a few years of playing it, yeah... it's not as good as the other games in my opinion.

Actually the souls series was more of an attempt at regression because of how casualized and easy games became

I wouldn't worry about the future of gaming

Well i am tired of fighting bosses where i cant see what they actually do because of camera issues....
i never liked that in the base game and i hate it even more in DLC

thats my number 1 issue with bosses
And thats why Sekiro is so great <3

I want to fight the boss , not the camera !

It's called lazy development, and choosing to refuse to support the company with a purchase is the only way to fix it;l take Bioware's mistake with the followup to Mass Effect for an example. How much money did Bioware and EA lose because the lazy devs thought they could do whatever they wanted with their franchise and the fans would automatically fall in line. Developers need to figure out that they must take their fanbase position into consideration once their games become successful. Refuse to do this, and you run the risk of a complete and utter failure and a fanbase leaving your franchise behind.

I personally started Dark Souls games with ER and loved the base game, so I have no idea how lazy From Software has been with their franchise,, but from what I've read, it' sounds pretty lazy and rushed.

The issues I had with the DLC at the beginning made me want a refund. I lost all my characters due to a corrupted file after the game repeated crashed on me. My request for a refund was refused, so I am currently leveling new characters to play the DLC. I really hope the DLC isn't as bad as I read, but my hopes are not high.

I personally will never buy another From Software game on release because of what I've gone through, and from what I've read in the community comments, their games have gotten worse and worse with each release after Bloodbourne -which many people claim is their favorite in the franchise. From Software could make a gagillion dollars if they released that for PC, but they refuse to do so. I wonder if that will change once the PS4 emulator version comes online.

I don't lock onto the target when the camera becomes an issue. The fire Giant is a miserable fight because of the camera.

Jump ship like all the sane people are doing, this franchise is doomed.

The DLC is fun, but that is all I can say about it. Some of the locations are beautiful to look at. It is still worth playing I think. Some of the bosses are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to difficulty, not in a good way. Depending what you are playing as you might be able to beat them in under a few tries. Sorry for what happened to you...

The aesthetic is great. I personally love the look of the game environment and characters, and that is the only thing that has kept me from abandoning the game. There's nothing I can do about what happened; It's just frustrating is all, so no need to feel sorry for me. Thanks for the sentiment though.

The camera in this game is wonky as hell. Some architecture causes it to turn away from where you want to go. I now want to play Sekiro to see how much better it is. If something isn't broke, why fix it? ER is my first souls experience, so is the camera the same in all the Souls titles? I purchased DS 1 when it went on sale to try it out. I have yet to do so. My friends have statedif you like ER's open world, you might not enjoy the older souls games. I don't care, I want to do up some PvP. That is why I keep playing ER.

The camera is the same in all the souls games. Most of the time its fine, but the lock on mechanic can be frustrating to deal with, especially with large or fast moving enemies. I dont use lock on most of the time because of this.

The camera might be better in the previous games, I actually saw the camera zoom out and reorient itself when I targeted a zombie guy and I almost fell off my chair.

I constantly fight the lockon switching to targets I'm not looking at. I've shut off all the options of the auto-lockon, but it continues to switch targets. A perfect example of this would be Flying Dragon Agheel. The dragonflies decide to enter the combat and my target switches to them instead of the dragon. I will have a pack of mobs coming at me and I try to target the strongest mob to get rid of it, but said mob is the furthest away and the game refuses to switch to that target even though there are no targets in my LOS to interfere with that lock... It's truly frustrating to deal with.
