ELDEN RING
Peeps really dying over 100 times on DLC bosses?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ub_9dQCV3tU
Also isn't Elajjaz like a DS legend? thought he was one of the best DS speed runners?
He was at 128 deaths?

I said over a 100 times bro, obviously people will die off the bosses. Though over 100 times in row is insane to me.
It's quite normal.
The Messmer boss keeps getting me even though I've got him to his last stage and 10% health his nonstop combos are bad.
Depends on how you play.....

In my cosplay where i play a noob who uses all the best tools in the game
i am so far 14h in 4 big bosses killed ( including Mesmer who is the topic of this video) and a total of 1 death in this 14h which was a result from falling down the statue before mesmer when missing a jump.

yeha 14h and 0 deaths other than a missed jump.
but well i use all the best tools the game offers for that playthrough so its pretty hard to die.

I think i've beaten every boss under 70 deaths. but a friend of a friend, for example, died 320 times at the hands of Messmer. so yes, it happens
Wow.. that is some serious dedication. My max was at 51 but was because of my own stupidity. Ended up forgetting I had a covenant on in DS2. That infinity respawned enemies and increased bosses to a few NG+ levels. So ended up fighting a Dragon DLC boss on my first playthrough that was like 3 times more powerful. So was my own fault but really did feel like my sanity slipping. After hitting 40 deaths I just kept laughing like a lunatic. Ironically the only reason I never quit was because I knew everyone else beat him. So I refused to accept that I couldn't stop. Yet jokes on me I wasn't fighting him as initially intended. Then after beating him it so didn't feel worth it. Remember thinking to myself after beating him. That I never wanted to go through that again. Even if someone paid me.

Yeah, that's the fun part. The streamers getting all insecure about it missed the plot. You die as much as you need to until you overcome. That's what git gud is all about.

What's your build and rune level? You should post a speedrun. Show a pic of that build. :estusfull:
If you play blind and ends up not collecting enough fragments, it's possible.
If you are dying 100 times, you are likely to die 100 more unless you stop and think "why and I dying?". Once you get things right, you shouldn't be dying that much.

Dude....this is actually gold. You die until you are able to learn from your own mistakes and adapt in the way you deem worthy. Then your brain "clicks" after X number of attempts and the boss die!

Streamers are a funest example of anything.......They usually play for the quintillon of people watching their streams while not focusing at all in their own game.....
Wonder if there are actual streamers who are intentionally milking deaths. To make it all that more dramatic for the viewers.

dont you dare to spoiler that secret ever again streamers are the only semi-professional gamers which earn more views from failing very hard on a daily rate as long as a hype is still on.
also they are often distracted from the chat and their ego while counting subs and very likely later are laughing at people that wasted their time watching other people play for hours instead of suffering for themselves.
OP what build did you use? Nobody gives a care about your opinion unless you talk about the build you used. Then there is also your playstyle which we'll never know about since you play offline. You are probably playing extremely passively with a broken build using mimic tear and it would be incredibly boring to watch your gameplay.

Streamers push themselves to play in a way that is exciting and entertaining to watch, something you'll never do because you're not a streamer.

the context of your title didn't translate well at all. If it was a genuine question of if the DLC is difficult to the point people die a lot, then you need to work on your wording.
Usually imo the title would be directly insulting. Like if said at some point in title - are players really that trash? or something. Although I figured since I wasn't rude or insulting in that way. That players would know I was just asking a genuine question.

If that was your intent, you largely failed. Its definitely not as bad as it could be, yes, but both the title and post below it are still worded as you making fun of people for being so bad as to die hundreds of times. Imagine the same sort of question in other contexts: "Peeps really getting Fs in math?" or "Peeps really struggling to do their taxes?" The rest of the post also seems to be poking fun at how badly a guy that is supposedly so good is doing. This is especially true without the context of you not having played the DLC yourself; the OP has that "It was so easy, how are people struggling so hard?" energy. Perhaps something closer to "Are the DLC bosses as hard as they seem?" or "Do most people struggle this much in the DLC?" woulds better reflect your intent.

Regardless, to answer the question, yeah, of course they are. There are some people out there who have been dying hundreds of times to bosses in all the other games and the Elden Ring base game, why would the DLC be any different? I assume most of those people with lots of deaths are also the type to not use some of the tools the game provides, like NPC summons and spirit ashes, which obviously make the bosses much easier. Also, I would say streamers are less likely to explore areas fully and more likely to not notice things, due to talking to chat and wanting to keep things entertaining and such. This means they are likely fighting bosses while lower on Scadutree Blessings than the average player.

In case you hadn't heard about it, the DLC has a new sort of levelling system where you can spend special key items (Scadutree Fragments) at Graces to give yourself a small but noticable boost to your damage and defense, apparently about 5%. Thus, the order you do the areas in and how many of those items you find within those areas has a large impact on how difficult any given enemy is. People who focus on the main bosses might have 8 or less blessing levels for a particular boss, while someone who explores each area thoroughly and searches for optional areas might have 13 or more blessing levels for the same boss, a 25%+ difference in power boost.

Nothing too impressive sir.

NG DLC
Strength Build
Great Shield with Vow of the Indomitable ash
Big Weapon with frost
Draconic Tree Sentinal Armour Set
Using Mimic +10

Startet Level 235 now 250

Me not dying from any monster or boss so far is simply due to the fact that i use all the tools in the game

overleveling
Greatshield
heavy armour
Mimic

Do you think anyone would watch a shield cuck who is abusing all tools in game? Comparing regular unstreamed gameplay with a streamer's gameplay is uhh..... insecurity?

You did what you had to do to win, they do what they have to do to impress an audience.
