In my cosplay where i play a noob who uses all the best tools in the game
i am so far 14h in 4 big bosses killed ( including Mesmer who is the topic of this video) and a total of 1 death in this 14h which was a result from falling down the statue before mesmer when missing a jump.
yeha 14h and 0 deaths other than a missed jump.
but well i use all the best tools the game offers for that playthrough so its pretty hard to die.
Dude....this is actually gold. You die until you are able to learn from your own mistakes and adapt in the way you deem worthy. Then your brain "clicks" after X number of attempts and the boss die!
Streamers are a funest example of anything.......They usually play for the quintillon of people watching their streams while not focusing at all in their own game.....
also they are often distracted from the chat and their ego while counting subs and very likely later are laughing at people that wasted their time watching other people play for hours instead of suffering for themselves.
Streamers push themselves to play in a way that is exciting and entertaining to watch, something you'll never do because you're not a streamer.
If that was your intent, you largely failed. Its definitely not as bad as it could be, yes, but both the title and post below it are still worded as you making fun of people for being so bad as to die hundreds of times. Imagine the same sort of question in other contexts: "Peeps really getting Fs in math?" or "Peeps really struggling to do their taxes?" The rest of the post also seems to be poking fun at how badly a guy that is supposedly so good is doing. This is especially true without the context of you not having played the DLC yourself; the OP has that "It was so easy, how are people struggling so hard?" energy. Perhaps something closer to "Are the DLC bosses as hard as they seem?" or "Do most people struggle this much in the DLC?" woulds better reflect your intent.
Regardless, to answer the question, yeah, of course they are. There are some people out there who have been dying hundreds of times to bosses in all the other games and the Elden Ring base game, why would the DLC be any different? I assume most of those people with lots of deaths are also the type to not use some of the tools the game provides, like NPC summons and spirit ashes, which obviously make the bosses much easier. Also, I would say streamers are less likely to explore areas fully and more likely to not notice things, due to talking to chat and wanting to keep things entertaining and such. This means they are likely fighting bosses while lower on Scadutree Blessings than the average player.
In case you hadn't heard about it, the DLC has a new sort of levelling system where you can spend special key items (Scadutree Fragments) at Graces to give yourself a small but noticable boost to your damage and defense, apparently about 5%. Thus, the order you do the areas in and how many of those items you find within those areas has a large impact on how difficult any given enemy is. People who focus on the main bosses might have 8 or less blessing levels for a particular boss, while someone who explores each area thoroughly and searches for optional areas might have 13 or more blessing levels for the same boss, a 25%+ difference in power boost.
Nothing too impressive sir.
